Chemistry tanks can simultaneously be transport tanks, as the chemicals used in production often come from various suppliers. When transporting chemicals that may also be hazardous materials, it’s important that the risk of explosion is minimised and that the tanks are able to withstand jolts caused by damaged roads. Depending on the size of the tank, there are often separate chambers in the tanks in order to reduce movement within the chemistry tank and prevent the whole vehicle from tipping over.

Cleaning tanks with chemical substances

When empty and uncleaned, chemistry tanks must satisfy the same provisions as in their full state. Regulations also apply to the cleaning process. Similar to UAN tanks which store substances harmful to water, chemistry tanks can also store liquids that are harmful to the environment. It must therefore be ensured that the tank is properly supported and the harmful liquid does not flow next to a drain during cleaning. A collecting basin also ensures that no harmful substances enter the groundwater.
